Cabinet of Ministers identifies "guard" of state secret
The Cabinet of Ministers has made amendments to the decision "On approval of permission to an official or citizen to work with data containing state secret and of the procedure of re-registration of this permission."
With latest the amendment, the name of the decision has been renamed to “The rule of permission to officials and citizens to work with data containing state secret” reports.

Up to now, inspections on permission to work with state secret has been conducted by search-operational, intelligence and counterintelligence agencies, which used top approve departmental procedures.

From now on, inspections on permission to citizens to work with special, confidential and top confidential data will be conducted by the Prosecutor General’s Office at prosecution bodies, the Interior Ministry at interior bodies, the State Border Service (SBS) on the protection of state borders, and the Special State Protection Service (SSPS) on the protection of state security facilities as well as state military units. Inspections on permission to work with data containing state secret on other government bodies – at institutions, departments, and organizations, will be conducted by security agencies.
